Horsham woman released under investigation after serious crash

A Horsham woman arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving has been released under investigation, according to police.

The 35-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of failing a roadside drug test, a Sussex Police spokesman confirmed.

Police said in a statement: “Emergency services were called to a report of a man being struck by a Mitsubishi Shogun vehicle in Canberra Place, Horsham, at 7.05am on Tuesday (26 May).

“The 27-year-old victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.”

No-one else was injured during the incident, according to police.
