Magistrates Court results for the Eastbourne area

These are the magistrates’ court results for the Eastbourne area – sitting at Hastings Magistrates Court for April 14 .

April 14:

Tara Farahnak, 21, of Reginald Road, Smethwick, Sandwell, pleaded guilty to driving a Renault Clio on the A27 Polegate bypass, at Polegate, on September 4, last year, with cocaine in her bloodstream. She also pleaded guilty to driving with the controlled drugs benzoylecgonine and ketamine in her bloodstream on the same date. She was fined £384 and banned from driving for one year.

Lewis Harvey, 27, of Marine Parade, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place at the Beacon Centre, Eastbourne, on February 18. He was given a six-month conditional discharge.

Terry Olsen, 42, of Seaside Road, Eastbourne, indicated a plea of guilty to entering a secure private compound, within a household waste centre, at Hastings, on October 11, last year, and stealing a large quantity of scrap metal. The court made a community order with a drug rehabilitation requirement.

Alexandra Weston, 46, of Ashington Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to assaulting a man by beating. 
The offence took place at Ashington Road, Eastbourne, on October 3, last year. She was fined £40 and ordered to pay £100 in compensation. Magistrates issued a restraining order.

Michael Williams, 39, os Siskin Close, Hawkinge, Folkestone, indicated a plea of guilty to assaulting a police officer. 
The offence took place at Eastbourne Road, Pevensey Bay, on September 10, last year. He also indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cocaine at Pevensey Bay on the same date. He was fined £120.

Ivaylo Georgiev, 36, of Bexhill Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle of Latimer Road, Eastbourne, on February 19, while more than twice over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 81 micrograms. The legal limit is 35 micrograms. He indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cocaine at Eastbourne on the same date. 
He was fined £350 and banned from driving for 40 months.

Sophie Henderson, 33, of Salisbury Road, Hastings, pleaded guilty to stealing meat, worth £100, from Marks and Spencer at Terminus Road, Eastbourne, on February 22. She was given a one year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 in compensation.

Angel Coller, 21, of Latimer Road, Eastbourne, indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of a lock knife in a public place at The Drove, Newhaven, on March 5. She also pleaded guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis at Newhaven on the same date. The court made a community order with a requirement of 40 hours of unpaid work.

Michael Simons, 30, of Saxon Ground, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. The offence took place at Eastbourne on October 3, last year. The court made a community order and ordered him to pay £50 in compensation.

Conor Claffey, 23, of Midhurst Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer. 
The offence took place at Eastbourne on March 15. He also pleaded guilty to resisting a police officer at Eastbourne on the same date. 
He was fined £160 and ordered to pay £50 in compensation.
