August 4:

Connor Reilly, 27, of Bexhill Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford vehicle on Bexhill Road, on October 2 last year, with cannabis in his blood stream. He was fined £120 and banned from driving for one year.

Lee Salter, 37, of Rye Road, Hastings, pleaded guilty to driving a Seat vehicle on Winchelsea Road, Guestling, on November 19, last year, with cannabis in his blood stream. He also indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis on the same date. He was fined £180 and banned from driving for one year.

August 5:

Mustapha Njie, 22, of Waldegrave Street, Hastings, indicated a plea of guilty to fraud, while working as a care assistant, to gain cash and transactions totally £4,911.66. The offence took place at Hastings between February 13 and September 26 last year. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on September 2 and released on unconditional bail.

Edward Williams, 21, of Benson Way, Rye, indicated guilty pleas to making 1,040 Category A - C indecent images and moving images of children. The offences took place at Rye between August 27 2016 and June 19 2018. He indicated guilty pleas to being in possession of a prohibited image of a child at Rye on October 31 2018 and to being in possession of an extreme pornographic image at Rye on the same date. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on September 2 and released on unconditional bail.

Jeffrey Ashman, 49, of Orchard Close, Hastings, pleaded guilty to stealing eight fillet steaks, worth £36, from Iceland at Hastings, on December 22 last year. He was given a six month conditional discharge.

Danny King, 20, of Willingdon Avenue, Hastings, indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cocaine at Hastings on November 30 last year, He also admitted being in breach of a suspended sentence for an earlier offence of wounding and inflicting grievous bodily harm. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on September 2 and released on unconditional bail.

Joshua Crellin, 24, of Stifford Clays Road, Greys, Essex, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford vehicle on Little Common Road, Bexhill, on January 18, with cannabis in his blood stream. He was fined £100 and banned from driving for one year.

Jamie Santer, 37, of Cheddar Close, Ashford, Kent, pleaded guilty to stealing alcohol worth £136.15, from Jempsons supermarket at Rye on June 4. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £29.35 in compensation.

August 6:

Kelvis Bungaja, 18, of Burnell Road, Sutton, was found guilty of using a vehicle on Galley Hill and De La Warr Parade, Bexhill, on April 14, with no licence or insurance. He was fined £450 and banned from driving for two years. The verdict was proved in his absence.

Louis Whybrow, 18, of Cliff Way, Fairlight, indicated a plea of guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The offence took place at Hastings on September 11 last year. He was given an 18 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £200 in compensation.

August 10:

A 16-year-old Bexhill youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle on London Road, Bexhill, on March 14, with no licence or insurance. He also pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle on Buxton Drive, Bexhill, on June 27 with no licence or insurance and to failing to stop for police. He was referred to the East Sussex Youth Offender Panel for an eight month contract.

A 14-year-old Hastings youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to threatening a person with a knife, at Eastbourne railway station on January 3 last year. Sentencing was adjourned until September 14, for reports to be prepared and he was remanded on conditional bail, with a daily curfew between 8pm and 7am.

A 16-year-old Hastings youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, at Hastings, on February 18. He also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance, driving without due care and attention and failing to stop following an accident, where damage occurred to another vehicle, at Hastings on the same date. He was given a one year conditional discharge.

August 11:

Glen McAdam, 35, of Selhurst Road, Croydon, indicated a plea of guilty to stealing jewellery with an estimated value of £3,000 from Mansell Close, Bexhill, on March 27. He was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison, suspended for one year and ordered to pay £3,000 in compensation. The court made a community order with a three month electronically monitored curfew between 7pm and 7am. Magistrates said the reason for the sentence was that the offence involved an elderly victim and breach of trust.

Thomas Wilson, 24, of Kings Wood Gate, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. The offence took place at Hastings on September 28. The court made a community order with an alcohol treatment requirement and ordered him to pay £100 in compensation and £620 in prosecution costs.

August 12:

Edgaras Beker, 27, of Cambridge Gardens, Hastings, indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of a quantity of amphetamine. The offence took place at St Leonards, on April 17. He was fined £80.
