November 25:

Brian Ley, 76, of Chalden Place, Bexhill, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Focus on Cooden Sea Road, Bexhill, on February 14, while more than twice over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 96 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. He also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance at Bexhill on the same date. The court made a community order with a requirement to take part in a drink-impaired drivers programme. He was fined £380 and banned from driving for 40 months.

Jack Drury, 24, of Hawkhurst Way, Bexhill, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Transit, on the A259, at Seaford, on September 10, while over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 40 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. He was fined £120 and banned from driving for one year.

Benjamin Zerafa, 21, of Bohemia Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving a Seat vehicle on Combe Valley Way, Bexhill, on August 23, while more than twice over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 87 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. He was fined £450 and banned from driving for 17 months.

Brendan Huntley, 22, of Flimwell Close, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving a trials bike on Sedlescombe Road South, and Gillsmans Hill, without due car and attention, on September 13, by going through a red light and driving into a one-way street the wrong way. He also pleaded guilty to driving with no licence and insurance and to failing to stop for police on the same date. He was fined £300 and his driving record endorsed with eight penalty points.

Ben Cottam, 31, of New Lydd Road, Camber, indicated a plea of guilty to entering the safe office at Camber Sands Leisure Park, on December 14 last year and stealing £11,165. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on January 6 and released on unconditional bail.

Nathan Davies, 34, of Cornwallis Gardens, Hastings, pleaded guilty to causing £400 damage to a door. The offence took place at Hastings on August 3. He was given a six month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £200 in compensation.

Rui Gollop, 28, of St Johns Road, St Leonards, indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cocaine at Hastings, on December 27, 2018, with intent to supply. He also indicated guilty pleas to being in possession of methylamphetamine and cannabis, at Hastings, on the same date, with intent to supply. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on January 6 and released on unconditional bail.

Paul Duffy, 49, of York Road, Bexhill, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis when required to do so by police under the Road Traffic Act 1988. The offence took place at Hastings on August 30. He also pleaded guilty to driving a Mercedes vehicle, on Sackville Road, Bexhill, on the same date, with no insurance. He was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison, suspended for one year and banned from driving for 30 months. The court made a community order.
