January 11:

Daniel Finch, 29, of Chiltern Drive, Hastings, was found guilty of failing to give information to police relating to the identity of the driver of a Vauxhall vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence in Sussex on September 11. He was fined £660 and ordered to pay £90 in prosecution costs. His driving record was endorsed with six penalty points.

Lee Clarke, 36, of St Helens Park Road, Hastings, was found guilty of driving a Peugeot vehicle with no licence or insurance at Newgate Road, St Leonards, on April 20 last year. He was fined £660 and ordered to pay £90 in prosecution costs. He was banned from driving for six months.

Nick Emmons, 48, of Ledsham Avenue, St Leonards, was found guilty of failing to provide information to police relating to the identity of a the driver of a Ford vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence at Sussex on February 21 last year. He was fined £660 and ordered to pay £90 in prosecution costs. He was banned from driving for six months.

Roy Hylands, 22, of Emmanuel Road, Hastings, was found guilty of driving a Mitsubishi vehicle on Royal Oak Lane, Crowhurst, on June 28, with no licence. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £90 in prosecution costs. His driving record was endorsed with three penalty points.

January 13:

Andrew Barlow, 50, of Quebec Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to assault by beating, The offence took place at Hastings on September 16. The court made a community order and ordered him to pay £100 in compensation. Magistrates issued a restraining order.

Josh Andrews, 26, of Belgrave Walk, Mitcham, Surrey, indicated a plea of guilty to using racially aggravated threatening behaviour. The offence took place at Pontins Holiday Park, New Lydd Road, Camber, on August 9. He pleaded guilty to obstructing a police officer at Camber, on the same date, and indicated a plea of guilty to assaulting a police officer at Hastings on August 10. He was sentenced to ten weeks in prison, suspended for one year and ordered to pay £300 in compensation. The court made a community order with a requirement of 150 hours of unpaid work. Magistrates said the reason for the custodial sentence was because of a racially aggravated offence and spitting at a police officer during the Covid pandemic.

James Goobie, 40, of Salisbury Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving a Yamaha moped on Spring Street, Hastings, on December 8, while disqualified from driving. He also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance and to being in possession of a quantity of heroin, on the same date. He was fined £120 and his driving record endorsed with six penalty points.

January 20:

George Vakis, 18, of Thakeham Close, Bexhill, indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis. The offence took place at St Leonards on March 23 last year. He was given a one year conditional discharge.

Sharon Foster, 52, of Fairlight Road, Hastings, indicated a plea of guilty to being the owner of a Staffordshire bull terrier-cross dog, which was dangerously out of control at Hastings on June 18. The court made an order that unless the dog Staffordshire bull terrier-cross named Kipper is kept under proper control by being muzzled whilst out in a public place at all times, it must be destroyed. She was ordered to pay £150 in compensation.

Robert Milligan, 29, of Hawthorn Road, Hastings, pleaded guilty to driving a Toyota vehicle on Bexhill Road, St Leonards, on May 15, last year, with cannabis in his blood stream. He also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance on the same date. He was fined £120 and banned from driving for one year.

Anthony Williams, 61, of Manor Road, Hastings, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. The offence took place at Hastings on October 11. He was given a six month conditional discharge.

Barry Moulsdale, 63, of Manor Road, Hastings, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. The offence took place at Hastings on October 11. He was given a six month conditional discharge.

Sam Haffenden, 27, of Denham Close, St Leonards, indicated a plea of guilty to using or threatening unlawful violence. The offence took place at Eastbourne on November 10, 2019. The court made a community order with a requirement of 200 hours of unapid work and ordered him to pay £200 in compensation.
