Magistrates Court results for the Hastings and Rother area

March 10:

Zoe Ingram, 39, of Watermill Lane, Bexhill, indicated a plea of guilty to being in charge of a Staffordshirebull terrier dog which was dangerously out of control at Bexhill on December 29, 2019. The court ruled that unless the dog is kept under proper control, and on a lead at all times, when in public, that it should be destroyed. She was ordered to pay £739.14 in compensation.

Nathan Sinden, 36, of Blackman Avenue, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to causing damage to a wall belonging to Sussex Police. The offence took place at Hastings on October 31 last year. He was fined £145.

Zacharu Daultrey, 23, of Downs Road, Hastings, pleaded guilty to damaging the wing mirror of a vehicle at Battle Road, St Leonards, on January 1. He indicated a plea of guilty to assaulting a police officer, and to resisting a police officer at St Leonards on the same date. He pleaded guilty to causing damage to a bus stop at Battle Road, St Leonards, on January 11 and to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis at Hastings on February 17. The court made a community order and ordered him to pay £305 in compensation.

Charlene Jupp, 19, of Silverdale Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving a BMW vehicle on Harley Chute Road, St Leonards, on October 8, while more than twice over the drink drive limit. She gave a breath alcohol reading of 77 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. She also pleaded guilty to driving with no licence or insurance on the same date. She was fined £120 and banned from driving for 17 months.

Robert Abbott, 44, of Rye Road, Hastings, pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating. The offence took place at Hastings on September 17 last year. The court made a community order with a requirement of 110 hours of unpaid work. Magistrates issued a restraining order.

Adam Wright, 35, of Thanet Way, Hastings, indicated a plea of guilty to being in breach of a court restraining order by meeting with another person and sending them messages. The offence took place between January 1 and April 30, last year. The court made a community order with a requirement of 40 hours of unpaid work.

Michael Koslowski, 40, of Dittisham Road, Bromley, Kent, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis when required to do so by police under the Road Traffic Act 1988. The offence took place at Hastings on October 2, last year. The court made a community order, with a requirement of 100 hours of unpaid work and banned him from driving for 23 months.

Marcus Osborne, 49, of South Terrace, Hastings, indicated a plea of guilty to intentionally attempting to incite a girl to engage in sexual activity. The offence took place at Hastings, between June 14 and June 18, 2019. He indicated a plea of guilty to attempting to communicate with a person under 16, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification. The offence took place at Hastings between June 10 and June 26, 2019. He indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of category C indecent images of children at Hastings on June 23. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on April 7 and released on conditional bail.

March 15:

Corey Willis, 31, of Havelock Road, Hastings, pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating. The offence took place at Hastings on November 17 last year. The court made a community order with a requirement of 80 hours of unpaid work. Magistrates issued a restraining order.

Lewis Mason, 26, of Gorse Mead, Ashford, Kent, was found guilty of failing to give information to police relating to the identity of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence at Hastings on September 25 2019. He was fined £660 and his driving record endorsed with six penalty points.

March 16:

Ashley Davies, 27, of no fixed address, was found guilty of assaulting a woman by beating her. The offence took place at St Leonards on June 25 last year. He was given a one year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £310 in prosecution costs. Magistrates issued a restraining order.
