A Sussex Police spokesman said following treatment at Worthing Hospital for minor injuries he was taken to Worthing custody centre where he was interviewed and later released on bail until April 25 while enquiries continue.

The 7.25am collision, which also involved a Vauxhall Combo and a Renault Trafic van, closed the northbound carriageway of the A24 until 25 minutes after midnight due to the road surface having to be repaired.
