Man charged after spate of shoplifting at Co-Op in Crawley

A 32-year-old man has been charged after persistent shoplifting at a Co-Op in Crawley.

Sussex Police said Simon Rogers-Davis, of Lucas Close, Maidenbower, was charged with the seven thefts from the store in Maidenbower, and will appear before Crawley Magistrates’ Court on July 18.

He has been bailed with conditions not to enter the store unsupervised, the force added.

The arrest and charge follows partnership work between the Co-Op, the Neighbourhood Policing Team, divisional response officers and the Business Crime Team.

Sussex Police continues to work with its partners to combat business crime by preventing offending and holding perpetrators to account.
