Man charged after two-vehicle crash in Chichester

A man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a crash involving two vehicles in Chichester on Saturday night.

A white Vauxhall Combo van was in collision with a blue Ford Fiesta, just west of the Bognor Bridge roundabout on the A27 just after 10pm on December 3, police said.

According to police, neither driver was injured, but a 50-year-old man was slightly injured as he got out of a third car when he stopped to help at the scene. He was treated for a leg injury at St Richard’s Hospital, but was not detained.

According to Sussex Police, Gary Edwards, 28, of Fletcher Place, North Mundham, has been charged with failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis and bailed to appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on December 22.
