Man charged with drugs offences after Crawley raid

A man has been charged with drug offences after warrants were conducted in Crawley and London.

Officers from the West Sussex Community Investigations team assisted by officers from the Metropolitan Police executed two warrants focusing on the supply of class A drugs.

Simultaneous warrants were conducted at an address in the Commonwealth Drive area of Crawley, and an address in Hammersmith, London on Tuesday (May 5).

Police say a large quantity of class A drugs and £2,000 in cash were recovered and a man was arrested.

Sussex Police said Nkrumah McKenzie, of Flora Gardens in Hammersmith, was later charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin and the possession of cannabis.

The 31-year-old was remanded by the courts and will appear at Lewes Crown Court on June 3, said Sussex Police.
