Man threatened with knife in Horsham

A MAN was threatened with a 6” homemade knife in Horsham on Saturday January 21.

The incident took place at 3.20am in the vicinity of Harwood Road and Comptons Lane.

Police say a man of ‘homeless’ appearance produced the weapon from a dark coloured rucksack.

He is described as white, between 20 to 30-years-of-age, 5’5”, slim build and wearing a hat with ear flaps.

No one was injured.

A spokesperson for Horsham police said: “The weapon is described as a 6” blade of a knife minus a handle but instead has been attached to a long chain.

“Police are keen to locate whoever is responsible for carrying this type of offensive weapon and causing other persons distress in public.”
