Men flee after attempting to steal quad bike

A police investigation has been sparked after three hooded men were seen attempting to steal a quad bike from Furnace Lake Fishery near Horsham.

The break-in took place at around 6pm on Sunday November 17 at the Slinfold site.

A spokesperson for Horsham police said: “Three males were seen pushing a red quad bike from the barn.

“Three males were stopped at the scene by the owner, however they all ran off.”

All three are described as white, possible early to mid 20s.

Police say one man is described as wearing a hooded top, dark hat - possibly a beanie - and a light coloured mask.

The second was wearing a light coloured tracksuit, a light coloured hat and a dark coloured mask over the top of his head.

Suspect number three is described as wearing a white hooded top, with a dark coloured overcoat.

The police spokesperson continued: “It would appear that the males left in a red Transit van.”

Police are appealing for anyone with information to call 101 quoting 1101 of 17/11/2013.
