Mid Sussex scam warning
Mid Sussex Public Engagement Officer PCSO Anika Clough has warned of a bank card scam targeting the elderly.
The scam involves someone ringing the resident pretending to be from their bank and stating that their cards need to be replaced.
They ask for the resident’s bank details and personal information.
If they get a positive response they arrange for a courier to collect the bank cards.
Money is then withdrawn from the accounts.
