Money stolen in Newhaven burglary – police appeal for witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses after a quantity of cash went missing from an address in Newhaven.

Officers were called to a house in Lewes Road on Friday (May 28) after it was discovered the money was missing.

The incident is believed to have taken place between Monday 24 May and Friday 28 May.

Police said: “It is believed the suspect left the property through a ground-floor window which opens out onto Lewes Road, and which is in view of the busy A259.

“Anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area during the week, or who has any other information that may assist the investigation is asked to get in touch.
