‘Naked man seen running in Cuckfield’ sparks police probe

Mid Sussex Prevention Inspector Darren Taylor said officers received the report on Monday morning (November 9).

He said on Twitter: “Team investigating a report from yesterday of a naked man seen running around the New England Wood area in Cuckfield.

“Dog walkers witnessed this around 7am yesterday morning.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101, quoting CAD 0544.

Meanwhile, Insp Taylor said there has been an increase of reports over the last week around theft of catalytic converters across Mid Sussex.

Witnesses have suggested it is two to three men carrying out the thefts, he said on Twitter.

He added: “If you do see anyone acting suspiciously, especially underneath a vehicle in your area please ring us straight away.”
