Peacehaven man who raped woman in Brighton jailed for nine years

Lee Reeves, 42, of South Coast Road, Peacehaven, was sentenced to nine years in prison at Lewes Crown Court on Wednesday, January 20, after he was found guilty by a jury in November following an eight-day trial.

The court heard how Reeves raped his victim in Moulsecoomb in summer 2015 and struck again there two years later.

Reeves, formerly of Hillside, Brighton, denied both charges.

Sussex Police confirmed Reeves was also issued with a ten-year restraining order.

He will also remain on the sex offenders register until further notice.
