At Lewes Crown Court yesterday (August 12), Ronald Dossett, 74, of Marks Tey Road in Fareham, denied causing the death of Worthing woman Nicola Drummond by careless/inconsiderate driving.

The charge related to a collision on the A280 in Angmering on January 17, 2019, in which Dossett's Honda collided with Ms Drummond's car.

Dossett's defence counsel, Edward Hand, said his client pleaded not guilty.

Judge Christine Laing set a provisional trial date of March 22, 2021, due to a 'back log' of hearings caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Dossett was granted unconditional bail.
