Police appeal after assault outside Tesco in Fishbourne

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was assaulted outside Tesco in Fishbourne.

Police are asking witnesses to come forward after the 28-year-old man from Chichester was assaulted in the car park as he and his girlfriend got off the bus, sometime between 8.45pm and 9.15pm on Thursday, September 3.

The victim suffered cuts and bruises to his head.

A 19-year-old woman from Chichester was arrested on suspicion of attempted assault and released on bail until 2 October.

A 24-year-old man from Chichester was arrested on suspicion of ABH and released on bail until 2 October.

Response Investigator Siobhan Cunningham said: “We would like to speak with anyone who may have seen something suspicious.

“Witnesses can email [email protected] or call 101 quoting reference 1549 of 03/09.”
