Police are not linking cannabis discoveries

Sussex Police has said it is not linking two incidents where stashes of cannabis were discovered.

On January 17, police officers attended a property in Westcourt Road in Worthing which had been used as a cannabis production site.

They seized 25 small cannabis plants. Stalks, manure and other drug paraphernalia were also found in the house.

Police were alerted after the landlady visited the house and discovered her tenants had abandoned it.

On Tuesday, January 24, police were called to Patching Pond in Worthing, where eight full bin liners had been dumped.

At the time, one of the bags was recovered and police believed it contained cannabis plants.

A police spokesman said they are currently not linking the two incidents, and that there are no further updates at this point in time.
