Police arrest 14 people across Lewes and Wealden districts

Fourteen people were arrested across the Lewes and Wealden districts over the weekend.

Lewes Police revealed on Twitter that officers had arrested six people.

”Storm Ciara didn’t stop six people across the Lewes district checking into custody this weekend, from Friday night to Sunday morning,” said a spokesman.

“Offences included ABH, breach of ASB order, assault, and drink-driving.”

Wealden Police confirmed eight people had been taken into custody over the weekend.

Offences included criminal damage, assault on police, drug-driving, and drink-driving.
