Police arrest Eastbourne man, 41, on suspicion of ‘making threats to kill’ after armed officers attend hotel ‘disturbance’

Police have arrested an Eastbourne man on suspicion of making threats to kill after a ‘disturbance’ at a seafront hotel.

Police responded to the disturbance at the Halcyon Hotel in South Cliff, Eastbourne, about 8.40pm on Friday January 1, a spokesman confirmed.

He said: “A 41-year-old man from Eastbourne was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and remains in police custody at this stage.”

Armed police are understood to have attended the incident.
