Police helicopter search fails to catch speeding driver
A police helicopter search failed find a speeding driver who did not stop for police.
The driver did not stop in Oathall Road, Haywards Heath, at 12.25am yesterday (Tuesday May 19), said Sussex Police.
Officers followed the car to where the driver abandoned it in Finches Gardens, Lindfield.
A spokesman said: “Following a search of the area with the assistance of a police helicopter nobody was found.
“Enquiries will continue to identify and trace the driver.”
