Police hunting suspect after stabbing in Gossops Green

Police are looking for a man who ran off from the scene of a stabbing in Gossops Green last night.

The stabbing was reported in Capel Lane, Gossops Green, at 9.20pm on Thursday.

A statement from Sussex Police said: “The victim, a 29-year-old man, suffered a stab wound but his injury is not believed to be life threatening at this stage. He has been taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

“The suspect is described as Asian of large build, wearing a dark cap and was carrying a weapon, believed to be a knife.

“He ran from the scene. However, it is believed that the two men are known to each other.”

Anyone who saw what happened, or has any information about the incident, is asked to contact police on [email protected] or 101 quoting serial 1746 of 02/07.
