Police probe after series of break-ins in Peacehaven

Police are investigating after a number of properties in Peacehaven were broken into over the weekend.

A Lewes Police spokesman said on Twitter: “We are aware of a few properties in Peacehaven this weekend being broken into.

“A number of these were to insecure properties, please ensure you lock doors, close windows, and check twice before you go out – don’t give thieves an easy way in.”

Officers in Lewes arrested six people across the district over the weekend.

Lewes Police said: “Officers in Lewes have been busy this weekend protecting the community

“Between Friday night and Sunday night six arrests were made across the district including offences such as assault ABH, burglary and criminal damage.”

Officers in Wealden made five arrests over the weekend. Offences included assault ABH, assault by beating and drink-driving.
