Police seeking to identify man after seven burglaries in Mid Sussex

Police investigating a series of linked burglaries in the Mid Sussex area have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to identify.

Sussex Police has launched an investigation following the seven burglaries in the Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath areas.

A spokesman said: “Officers are seeking the identity of the man in the picture in connection with a total of seven burglaries across Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill.

“Five of the burglaries occurred on Tuesday, October 22, and two on Wednesday, October 30.

“A large quantity of jewellery and cash were reported as stolen from two of the properties.”

Police said the burglaries happened at properties in the following streets:

• Cooper Close, Burgess Hill

• Woodlands Road, Haywards Heath

• Blackthorns, Lindfield

• Sunnywood Drive, Haywards Heath

• Haywards Road, Haywards Heath

• Northlands Avenue, Haywards Heath

• Blackthorns, Burgess Hill

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the above locations on these dates or who recognises the man in the image to report it either online or call 101 quoting Operation Benbow.
