Police warn Bognor Regis residents about phone scam
POLICE have warned residents about a scam.
Bognor Police have received several reports of a male calling to gain bank details giving various reasons.
Examples have included: ‘Your computer has a virus or error message. For a small fee this can be fixed please provide me with your bank details’ and ‘You are entitled to make a claim against your taxation and are owed £? Please send your bank details to complete the transaction’.
Residents are advised not to give information to callers and to report all incidents.
