£10,000 reward offered for information about attempted robbery in Horsham

A reward of up to £10,000 is being offered to anyone with information about an attempted robbery in Horsham yesterday (Wednesday January 14).

A man entered the branch of William Hill in Fitzalan Road just before 9.30pm.

He pointed a bag which may have contained a handgun at the counter assistant and demanded money, police said.

A spokesperson for William Hill said the Association of British Bookmakers are offering a reward of up to £10,000 for ‘information that leads to a successful prosecution’.

The spokesperson added: “We can confirm there was an attempted robbery, and that it was unsuccessful.

“The police are on the case and we have shared our CCTV with them.”

He added that anyone with information can call police on 101 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
