£140,000 of jewellery and clothes taken in Rudgwick burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses to an early evening break-in last night (Thursday, November 14) in Rudgwick.

The family left the house in the village shortly after 6pm and when they returned at 9pm, a rear window had been forced and someone had broken in.

Detective constable Jonathan Stadius said: “Around £140,000 worth of clothes and jewellery, including Rolex watches, were taken from the property.

“We are appealing to anyone who was in the village at the time and might have seen people or vehicles acting suspiciously.

“Anyone with information is urged to contact the police on 101 or email [email protected] quoting serial 1416 of 14/11.”
