The chairman of the Rother Neighbourhood Watch said he felt sick after his bank account was hacked.

Ted Kemp had £2,000 stolen from his Halifax account but the building society managed to resolve the issue.

He warned others to be extra vigilant with their bank account security.

“Today has been hell,” he said.

“On paying for petrol at Sainsburys garage in St Leonards. I had my card declined?

“My wife and I went to Halifax in Hastings only to find out my bank account had been hacked by £2,000, after spending one hour in Halifax it was resolved.

“So please be alert on checking your online banking account.

“It made me feeling sick to be a victim when I am giving everyone warnings.

“So remember it can happen to any of us.”
