Royal Norfolk Hotel stand-off: manager's message to police following siege

The manager of The Royal Norfolk Hotel has thanked police for their handling of an armed siege at the site yesterday (Monday, April 20).

The stand-off lasted about eight hours and began at 9.28am when officers responded to reports of a man in distress and possessing a large knife.

A 37-year-old man was later arrested.
