Second man charged with Worthing armed robberies

Detectives have charged another man in reltation to the armed robberies in Worthing in Lancing in August and September this year, police hjave confirmed.

Police charged Damien Gilbert, 22, a building labourer of no fixed address with robbery at the Ladbrokes in Rowlands Road on August 18 this Monday, a spokesperson said.

He appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (November, 22) and was remanded in custody to appear at court on December 20, police said.

Detective Inspector Alan Pack said: “We continue to investigate this series of robberies and still have a team of detectives dedicated to it.”
