Several Mid Sussex cars damaged in attacks

Vehicles in rural areas of Mid Sussex have been targetted by people causing damage to cars.

Between Thursday, January 2 and Saturday, January 4 several parts were stolen from two vehicles parked on Staplefield Road in Handcross.

Before Christmas several vehicles were targeted in the Ardingly and West Hoathly areas.

The series involves cars being damaged by people stealing parts from them including petrol caps, headlight pieces or batteries.

PCSO Anika Clough said: “Please ensure when leaving your vehicle, it is locked and any alarms are set. If possible, please try and park it in a well lit area as this damage is being caused once it becomes dark.”
