Shopkeeper robbed at Three bridges

Police are seeking witnesses to the robbery of a shopkeeper outside his premises in Three Bridges.

On Sunday (July 8) at about 11.10am the victim had just returned to his shop, the Mace store in Gales Drive, Three Bridges with goods for his shop which he had just bought at a Redhill cash and carry.

As he was unloading outside the back entrance in Gales Place he was jumped on by two men who are described as white, wearing black hooded tops, and having Polish accents.

They pushed him to the ground and stole his mobile phone and bags of cigarettes to the value of over £4,500.

No vehicle was seen and it is believed that they fled on foot.

The victim was badly shaken but was not physically injured.

Detective Constable Kai Murray said; “There was heavy rain at the time on Sunday morning and local people may have noticed this pair runing away carrying bags.
