Shops take action after women pelted with eggs in Southwater

Shops in Southwater are banning the sale of eggs to children after two women were pelted in an incident in the village on Friday.

There have also been reports of smashed eggs littering the Lintot Square area.

Horsham District Council wardens urged shops to ‘suspend sales of eggs and flour to teenagers to prevent assaults and criminal damage.’

The village’s Co-op has said that it is refusing to sell such products to youngsters during the Halloween half term.
