It was anticipated that little progress could be made, with the Air Accident Investigation Branch final report still outstanding and the police investigation still ongoing, said a spokesperson for West Sussex County Council.
Penelope Schofield, West Sussex Senior Coroner, said the decision has not been taken lightly, particularly as she is anxious to ensure that these inquests are dealt with in a timely manner.
A further pre-inquest review hearing will be held on Friday March, 17 at the new West Sussex Coroner’s Court which will be in Woodfield Road in Crawley, said the spokesperson, adding that more details will be released nearer the time.
