Slinfold construction site burgled

ITEMS valued at more than £6,000 have been snatched from a construction site in Maydwell Avenue, Slinfold, just outside Horsham.

Thieves stole the expensive equipment over the weekend some time between Saturday 15 and Sunday October 16.

The items taken, described by police as identifiable, include a Leica pipe laser in a yellow safe or waterproof box with serial number P010004582 on it, a Leica spinning laser (serial 102156), a red Stihl petrol saw (serials 3087712 and 3090156), and a red electronic distance measurer satellite (serial 853108) worth £4,000.

One thousand litres of diesel was also taken, with an estimated value of more than £1,000.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “These items would only be useful to someone who knew what to do with them, so people are asked to be on the look out for such items.”
