Sompting man guilty of drink-driving

A 38-year-old van delivery agent of Burnside Crescent in Sompting, was arrested on the A24 at Findon on December 19, and charged with driving with 92mg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system.

Gregory Wilson was also charged with failing to stop when asked to do so by a police officer.

He pleaded guilty at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 7, and was disqualified from driving for 23 months. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.

A total of 182 arrests were made in Sussex in December as part of Surrey and Sussex Police’s Christmas 2015 campaign to crackdown on drink and drug-driving.
