Stabbing in Eastbourne town centre

A man has been stabbed in his Eastbourne flat, according to police.

Police said they were called at 5.30pm on Tuesday, March 23 to the Langney Road flat where the 29-year-old occupier had suffered one stab wound to his back and head injuries.

According to police the man was taken to hospital, where he is now being treated for his injuries, and his condition is assessed as stable and not life-threatening.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said, “No arrests have been made at this stage but detectives are investigating and are actively following several lines of enquiry.

“Officers believe that the people involved in this incident are known to each other.”

Detective sergeant Ross Bartlett added, “Anyone with information can contact us online or by calling 101, quoting operation Mazda.”
