Teenager robbed in Hailsham

Police are appealing for information after a teenage boy was robbed in Hailsham.

At around 3.30pm on Tuesday November 6 a 13-year-old boy was pushed over and had money stolen from his pocket as he was walking along a footpath between Cromer Way and The Lowlands.

The offender is described as white, aged between 17 and 22, wearing a white hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms. He ran off towards Cromer Way.

DC Cally Fox of East Sussex CID said: “We believe this robbery was committed by an older boy or young man and we would like to hear from anyone who saw the incident take place or who has information about who may have carried out this robbery.

“The victim may have had his money on display in his pocket and I would remind people to make sure they keep valuables out of sight at all times.”
