Thieves break into Newhaven charity shop

Thieves broke into a charity shop in Newhaven and made off with a ‘quantity of cash’.

Sussex Police said officers were called at 8.30am on Saturday, October 31, to reports of a break-in at Sense charity shop in Newhaven Square, Newhaven.

A spokesman said: “The burglary happened some time between 5.20pm on Friday, October 30, and 8.20am on Saturday, October 31.

“A quantity of cash was taken from inside the premises.

“Anyone who saw what happened, saw any suspicious behaviour in the area at the time, or who may have any relevant CCTV or dash cam footage, is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 303 of 31/10.
