‘Think Family’ initiative asks for help from Roffey residents

As part of the ‘Think Family’ initiative set up by Horsham police, posters have been placed in the area and a letter drop took place yesterday (Wednesday April 2).

The posters and letters are to raise awareness that on Thursday April 10, residents of the South Holmes estate will be surveyed at home by police, and asked questions on crime, anti-social behaviour, the environment, unemployment and the community.

By answering the questions residents will be able to help shape the future of their community and police have encouraged all to take part.

Sergeant Chris O’Leary from Sussex Police is leading the project along with the help of other agencies, including West Sussex County Council, Horsham District Council, Roffey Parish Council and Roffey Methodist Church.

The area was previously notorious for drug-related crimes and is the subject of a police project to improve the neighbourhood.

South Holmes Road has been chosen as one of the first places in West Sussex to be targeted by a government initiative to support vulnerable families in turning their lives around.
