Intruders left a trail of damage to two bird hides at the RSPB’s nature reserve at Pulborough Brooks.

Police say that items were ripped from walls and smashed, a window was broken and alcohol cans and bottles were left strewn across floors of the hides at the Upperton Barn Visitors Centre.

Blood was also found on the floor of one of the hides following the incidents on Saturday.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 101.
