Two arrested over armed robbery in Brighton

Two people have been arrested after a man was robbed at knifepoint in Brighton yesterday afternoon (September 30).

Sussex Police said a man reported being robbed at knifepoint in Norwich Crescent in Brighton shortly before 3.30pm.

He was uninjured, but had his wallet stolen, police said.

Police, including armed officers, conducted enquiries and an extensive search of the area, during which two people were arrested at a retail park in Newton Road, Hove.

A 22-year-old man and 21-year-old woman from Brighton were arrested on suspicion of robbery and both remain in custody.
