Police attended W Bruford in The Beacon at around 10.10am on Sunday (January 26) after 15 Rolex watches, with an estimated value between £100,000 and £150,000, were stolen.

Officers say four men all wearing facemasks, and one man reported to be carrying a small handheld pick axe or hammer, entered the premises at around 10am.

Police said a search of the area, assisted by armed officers and the police helicopter, was conducted and two people were arrested on the Cuckoo Trail near Station Road. Two other suspects remain outstanding and enquiries to locate them are ongoing.

Police said Gavin Walter, 41, of Westminster Road, Sutton, and Paul Mitchell, 39, of Orchard Avenue, Mitcham, were both charged with robbery, remanded in custody and will appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (January 28).
