Two motorists caught speeding at above 120mph on A27 in Chichester

Police have said a motorcyclist will 'almost certainly lose their licence' after being caught speeding on the A27.

According to Sussex Roads Police, the offending motorist was clocked doing 126mph.

Its post on Twitter on Thursday morning (March 25) added: "The rider didn't have much to say to us at the roadside but will have their day in court and will almost certainly lose their licence."

Police were back on the A27 at Chichester on Thursday night.

A spokesperson said: "We have just stopped a car after clocking it travelling at 124mph. The driver has been reported to court."

Operation Crackdown is an educational initiative run by Sussex Safer Roads Partnership and Sussex Police, which gives communities the opportunity to report specific instances of anti-social driving, as well as abandoned vehicles on the road.
