UPDATE: Hunt for missing rifle stolen in burglary

Police are hunting for a missing rifle after a series of firearms were stolen from a home.

Officers said they had recovered two firearms and a quantity of ammunition taken from a property in St Johns Road, Redhill, at the end of January.

The missing rifle has been described as a .22 calibre Anshutz Rifle 54.30, with an aluminium and walnut stock.

Anyone with any information should contact Surrey Police on 101 or report it online at report.police.uk and quote the reference number 45170009617.

Jack Knight, 23, of Arne Close, Crawley, has been charged with burglary and is due to appear at Guildford Crown Court on March 2, Surrey Police said.

Two men from Crawley have also been arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

Officers added a 21-year-old man has been interviewed and released on bail until March 3, pending further enquiries, while a 25-year-old man remains on bail until April 25.
