Vandals spray cars and walls in Steyning

Police are appealing for information about a series of overnight incidents in Steyning in which black paint was sprayed on cars and walls.

This morning (Tuesday May 14), local residents called police to report that during the night black paint had been sprayed on five parked cars and three walls and gates, in the Goring Road, Vicarage lane, Jarvis Lane and Crofts Lane areas of the town during the night.

All victims will be visited by officers who are investigating, and local people are also being asked to help by keeping a look out and reporting any suspicions.

Sergeant Steve Cobbett said; “This is very unusual for Steyning and we are keen to hear of anyone who was in the area overnight on Monday into Tuesday and who saw anything suspicious.
