VIDEO: Attempted robbery at Horsham bank

Police were at the scene of HSBC in Horsham’s West Street after an attempted robbery at the bank this morning (Tuesday December 9).

Sergeant Chris O’Leary of Horsham police said there are not believed to be any injuries and added there is ‘no threat’ to members of the public.

He said: “My understanding is it is being treated as a possible attempted robbery.

“I believe nobody has been injured. There is no threat to any members of the public and inquiries with the bank will be ongoing.”

The incident took place at 11.50am.

Sgt O’Leary added that Crawley’s criminal investigation department are currently investigating at the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information can call police on 101 quoting serial 0496 of 09/12/14.
