Wick teenager committed 19 crimes in two months

A TWO-month crime spree has landed a Wick teenager a suspended prison sentence.

Billy Robinson, of West Way, pleaded guilty to 19 charges, from theft and handling stolen goods to fraud, public order and drug offences, at Worthing Magistrates’ Court in Tuesday (May 22).

The court, which was told all the offences were committed in February and March this year, handed Robinson a eight-month sentence, suspended for 12 months, as well as a 12-month driving ban, and orders to pay more than £1,300 in compensation and court costs.

PC Darren Porter, of Sussex Police’s Response Investigation Team at Worthing, said: “This was a complex investigation due to the number of offences Robinson had committed and enquiries that were required to achieve a positive result.

“It demonstrates to the residents of Littlehampton and Rustington that the response and investigation teams policing the Arun area will take robust action and work together to ensure anyone engaging in criminal activity to this extent are dealt with quickly and effectively.”
