Witness appeal after attempted balaclava-clad theft

Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted burglary in Shoreham.

At about 12.05am on Saturday, November 12, four men wearing hooded tops and balaclavas covering their faces approached the front of a house in Mill Hill, according to Sussex Police.

However, they were disturbed by the occupants and made off on foot along Mill Hill in a northerly direction. police say.

Detective constable Gavin Percival, of the Sussex Police Priority Crime Team, said: “If you were awake and saw anyone in the area acting suspiciously, I would be grateful if you could contact Sussex Police immediately.

“I am particularly interested in hearing from three people seen riding their motorcycles in Mill Hill at the time.”
